Monday with the Peppers

We had a wonderful weekend of family, fellowship, and an inspiring sermon that made me feel like tackling another week head on.

The whole inspired feeling flew right out the door only minutes after breakfast. It started when our toddler got up and started his usual morning routine of clutching his teddy bear in one hand and walking down the stairs counting each one as he goes. "One, do, dee, foe, five, hix, ven, eight, nine, den ......... and then he tumbled the rest of the way down to number sixteen.

After soothing his boo-boos it was time to tackle our school work, where the oldest children had me ready to pull my hair out with their algebra. After getting everything figured out we were all tired out and decided it was time to relax.

A pot of peppermint tea and some girl-y time had us all ready to enjoy life again proving that Mondays aren't so bad after all.

  1. Oh poor little guy. I'm glad his boo boo's weren't too serious. Our Monday has been very quiet. Your teapot is darling. I truly enjoy a nice cup of tea on these chilly days.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. I was relieved he wasn't seriously hurt! Peppermint tea is our favorite, and making it in a nice teapot seems to make it even better. :)

    1. Bouncing down almost half a flight of stairs is a horrible way to start a Monday!

We use Teaching Textbooks this year for math. I thought it would relieve me of having to explain the harder stuff. Turns out it doesn't quite work that way in our family at least.

  6. So looking forward to the day when I'll have "daughters" and/or granddaughters to do my nails! For now, I'm just content with being the "queen"! :)

So glad your little man is fine...I can remember kissing many a boo-boo...

    Sweet blessings,
    Laura

  7. So good to know your little one is alright. Don't fret too much about algebra...there are many websites that can help you find the answers and most of the time, it just take a bit more reading ;D enjoy your day!

    1. I can't believe I used to like algebra, but I promptly forgot everything I learned once I graduated and never had a reason to use it until this year. Sigh... it's taking me a little longer to get refreshed on everything than I would like.

    1. Tea does help make things better. There's something about sitting and simply sipping a cup of tea that de-frazzles me. :)
